RBNZ Trims OCR 25bps to 2.25%

The RBNZ cut the Official Cash Rate by 25bps to 2.25%, and flagged this may be the end of the easing cycle.

"Future moves in the OCR will depend on how the outlook for medium-term inflation and the economy evolve," the RBNZ said.

The decision was voted 5 to 1, after the Monetary Policy Committee discussed options of leaving the OCR unchanged or lowering it by 25bps.
