RBA tapers bond-buying further to A$500M

Published On 20 Apr 2020 , 11:48 AMFurther tapering of bond purchases by the RBA, with notified amount today of just A$500 million. The RBA is buying April 2029 to November 2029 government bonds.
This is the third consecutive reduction in notified amount by the RBA for government bond purchases. It started with A$1.5 billion last Tuesday, A$1.0 billion on Thursday, A$750 million on Friday and A$500 million today.
There are two bonds within this maturity, the 3.25% April 2029 and the 2.75% November 2029.
