RBA Stays on Hold

The Reserve Bank of Australia left the cash rate on hold at 4.35%, judging policy to be somewhat restrictive, while it assesses how the economy is evolving.

The tone was hawkish as the Board repeated it will "continue to do what it considers necessary to bring inflation sustainably back to target, including increasing the cash rate target further if upside risks materialise."
