RBA deputy governor Guy Debelle will be appearing before the Economics Legislation Committee in Canberra late evening today at 2100 hours local time. This is the 2019-20 additional estimates round of hearing and takes place every year in February/March. The RBA is usually not called for this hearing, and hence this seems a bit unusual but not extraordinary. Apart from the RBA, the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and the ACC and Australian Energy Regulator are appearing before the Committee this evening. On Thursday, it will ASIC and APRA among others.
