Two external board members of the RBA's Monetary Policy Board are scheduled to deliver speeches in late May-early June.

Carolyn Hewson will speak at the Adelaide University Joseph Fisher Public Lecture on May 27. Ian Harper will deliver a speech on June 2 at the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) event.

This is probably the first time an external RBA board member will deliver a speech. In the past, one or two such members have participated in a panel discussion.

The expectation from board members is to conduct at least one speech or public engagement each year.
