Australia govt makes record for new 2024 bond issue

Published On 15 Apr 2020 , 01:28 PMThe Australian government has set a record for a new bond issue, printing A$13 billion of the new 0.25% November 2024 bond. The issue is being done via syndication deal with ANZ, Deutsche Bank, UBS AG, Australia Branch and Westpac Institutional Bank acting as Joint-Lead Managers. It will be priced later this afternoon. The bond attracted orders around A$25 billion.
The previous record for a new bond issue was A$11 billion of the November 2028 bond issues in February 2017.
