AOFM sells April 2026 bond at record high coverage

Published On 26 Jun 2020 , 12:12 PMThe AOFM sold A$1.0 billion of 4.25% April 2026 government bond at a weighted average yield of 0.4790%. The coverage ratio was 5.92, a record high for this bond. The lowest yield today was 0.0.4775% and the highest was 0.4800%.
There were 31 bids in total, and only 10 were successful, with 3 100% allotment.
With this issue, this bond line has now increased A$33.4 billion, making it the biggest bond line. The last time this bond was issued was in February 2017 for A$500 million when the weighted average issue yield was 2.7311%.
The bond was first issued in March 2014 via syndication for A$7.0 billion at a weighted average yield of 4.3750%.
